Pup & Cat Co.'s 4th Annual "Affair to Remember", was held at the Carl House in Carl, Georgia on Sunday, April 27, 2008. The Carl House is a beautifully renovated antebellum home on a four-acre country estate. Its owner, BB Webb, began the annual "Affair to Remember” tradition four years ago and generously donates the use of Carl House for this magical event. All of the Affair to Remember guests were treated to plenty of southern hospitality by owner BB Webb and her staff. The buffet brunch offered many southern style favorites as well as continental faire and was fabulous! Thank you to Chef Melanie Hanke! We would also like to thank Carl House resident pianist and composer Lee Davis for all of the wonderful music provided throughout the event. Please join us in thanking BB and her wonderful staff for making this annual event such a success! |

Chloe, a very special member of the wedding party, attended without her casts.
Chloe is a beautiful female spaniel/border collie mix approximately 5 months old. On one of our coldest nights, Chloe was a hit and run victim, but fortunately for her someone witnessed it and saw her dragging herself into the woods. With great caution her good Samaritan picked her up and took her to a local veterinarian.
She had two broken front legs and multiple scratches and scrapes. She has since had major surgery to repair her breaks and hopefully she will have good use of her legs with just some arthritis as she ages. She was so frightened and in such pain that it took patience and pain relieving drugs and a lot of tender hearted people at Friendship Springs Veterinary Care where she is being fostered.
Although Chloe is going to require further surgery, she is now on the road to recovery and has turned out to be the sweetest, bravest little girl. In this picture, she is sporting her Rugby style casts. Chloe is looking for a special family to spend the rest of her adorable and lucky life with.
As you can imagine the medical costs to repair Chloe's injuries are great. If you would like to help offset some of these costs, please send a check or money order to Pup & Cat. Co., P. O. Box 1987, Winder, GA 30680 and indicate that the donation is for "Chloe". Or, you can donate through PayPal. There is a PayPal link on our home page and donations page. Thank you! |

Pup & Cat Co. volunteer, Kelly Alder, has led the way in taking animal education into the classrooms. She has worked with children of a variety of ages, explaining the importance of spay and neuter, talking to them about homeless animals, and educating them about the proper care and treatment of pets. |
|||||||
|
Pup & Cat Co. has also participated in many other community events. These include the Cotton States Cat Club Show in Gwinnett, the Atlanta Boat Show, the Barrow Business Expo and the Jewish Festival.
